Hi Veronica,
I'm so sorry to hear that. It looks like Mia does have Lyme. Thank goodness she has you as her mother- you can make sure that she gets the right treatment, right away. And, I recently heard an interview with an LLMD, who said that children don't relapse (although they can get re-infected). If you can, I would look for an LLMD who is a pediatrician. Maybe the positive WB will help her get treatment.
Best of luck to the both of you. I'll keep you in my prayers,
Nicky

Hi Nicky! She isnt showing overt symptoms like arthritis or swelling but she is lethargic in the morning she has diaper rash which is indicative of bacteria. So i believe the rash is spirochetes not just red its papules and spots they dont go away without antibiotic creams. she fevers and she does occasionally say hurts but i dont know what she is only just going to be 2 in sept.
Where did you hear this Nicky about
relapse. How can it be possible. i hope it would be true. Thank you for the kind words.

I did this test with the authorization of her regular pediatritian through ingenex. So i have to make an LLMD apt for her.

So sorry to learn your baby has Lyme. Please be sure to give her a good probiotic for infants--that will healp alot especially with the yeast in the diaper rash.
Blessings

They have good and bad days. Thay are on Rafamptin, Mepron, and I think biaxin. They also take artimisin. Its been over a year of treatment. We are starting to see improvement. They to say things hurt, The young one did have alot of diaper rash in the begining.

Awwwwww Veronica:(
I'm so sorry about
baby Mia. I'm glad you caught it early though. Kids recover better and faster than adults do. Poor baby. I hope you both feel better soon.
P.S.- I love your daughters name. I had a kitty cat named Mia.

V i am so sorry baby Mia is sick. but the great thing is you didnt give up and had her tested. to get to the truth, now you have to find the right Dr to treat her, and know she will get better. no way she couldnt with you for a mom.
and its so true babies do get well sooner then adults do, for some reson they have a faster system to fight things off.

Hi Veronica,
I heard that on this interview with Dr. J. Here's the link (if it doesn't work here, go to
www.canlyme.com
, then to their forum, then to the link for the interview with "Dr. C. J.")

V, I am so sorry to hear about
little Mia's test results. She's very fortunate to have you as her Mom. I wish you both quick healing and peace.

most people have no idea about
this or what a western blot is, its is good you did this early so she can get everything knocked out.. when i was a child i didn't have any stress at all.. she will recover quickly! when you are an adult with stress it seems alot harder to get over...

Hi Veromia,
Please check for yeast, Bartonella, and Rocky Mtn Spotted Fever----ask pediatric llmd about
coinfections. The rash descript
ion with fever makes me fear more than just lyme. I am so sorry you and your little one must suffer from all this. You are way ahead of most people though, since you know lyme etc. exists and you know there are tests. My daughter was probably born with all this stuff, (due to my own lack of knowledge or diagnosis) , but we never knew it until she was finally diagnosed at age 16!!! She is now 18 and we are still fighting. I am so happy that you are able to tackle this right away. Also, the suggestion made to put her on probiotics is a good one.
Wishing you all the best, bablymers mom

Holy SMoke, Veromia -- what a classic WB! Oh my God, I am so so sorry. I know that it's good that she had such a definitive test and that you can move forward, but we sure don't wish this diagnosis on anyone!
Bless your heart -- yes, she is very lucky that you are her mother, still you have my symathies and prayers treading into such UNholie waters! We are all pulling for both of you!

So sorry that the test came back positive, but at least you know what to do for her. It is so hard to see little ones suffer, but hopefully everyone is right and she will heal very quickly once she can be treated. Hope you are holding up too!

Wow she had a lot more positive bands then my kids. Sorry to hear this but glad you didn't wait to test her. She is young and I hear they do better when younger. My youngest is 10 and has had health issues since he was a baby. Had I known then he would have been better off. He's got so many issues now. Adrenal problems, Aspergers, and so much more. The kid is a mess! So it is really good you figured it out now. I sent you an email :)
