Sophie66:
Keep a watch on your eyes. I had photophobia for years and then my eyes quit working together. My lyme Doc knew the lyme hit my eyes. I went to 3 different eye doctors and they had no clue. I was told it was stress. Not hardly!! I went to Duke and saw a neuro eye doctor and he did a CT scan. There are 4 areas around the right eye that have imflamation there. They are pushing my eye out somewhat. Scary to me. He does not believe lyme or co-infections can hit the eyes. YES THEY CAN! Now I am in a living hell because I would have to go to NY to see another lyme doc and neuro eye doc. Your regular eye doctor can not determine the seriousness of what is really going on. I am not trying to scare you, but save you time because of what I went through and I am still going through.
If you have double vision, something does not look right, heavy pressure behind the eye(s), go to a neuro doctor. Do not mention Lyme. Just say you are having neurological problems and think it is effecting your eyes. One eye doctor refused to examine me when I mentioned the word Lyme. They are scared. Stinking medical boards around this country. I am not able to go to NY now due to the unbelieveable cost. So I am angry right now. I am just warning you to be sure to go to a neuro opthamologist and get a C T scan first. Then good luck. Pray he is lyme literate. Thank you for responding to my post.
