Is starting treatment within 3 weeks "early"?

I keep reading online about "early" Lyme disease, and how if you catch it in that stage it is more likely to respond to treatment.

I got into my doc and started on Doxy about 3 weeks to the day after my initial bite. Do I fit into the "early" treatment category? I remain hopeful that I can be cured since we got on top of it quickly! Plus after 4 days of being on Doxy, I am feeling MUCH better! My symptoms are now less severe by almost half, I feel. I think that must be a good sign.

Usually they do not give high enough dodes of doxy, what is yours and how long? If it was me and I knew how hard I have fought with this for 5 years because of delayed antibiotics I would take a very high dose and for a few months.

My Mom was just bit and got the bulls eye and did recieve Antibiotics in a couple days they were not the right kind or high enough dose and I can not get her to listen to me. You would think after watching Lyme turn into MS in your Daughter you would fight alittle harder but she thinks its no big deal.

Your here and your educating yourself that is a big step in the right direction.
