Last night I started feeling itchy all over. This is a new symptom as before the rash I had was big red blotches, only itchy at the bite mark. Today I have a prickly looking rash ( sort of like a baby with heat rash) on my arms and face. Is this a new symptom surfacing or an allergic reaction to the Ceftin? I've been on it for 3 days and today is the first rash I've seen. I had to stop the Doxy, it made me sick. I have never been allergic to meds before .....what the heck is going on?!?!?!?!

I am so sick of this! Before I was affected with this, I thought Lyme was just a matter of getting antibiotics and resting for a few weeks! Boy was I wrong!

I am sorry for everyone's suffering out there! I am so glad I found this site........I thought I was the only one who had wacky symptoms!

Sophie, I am not familiar w/ Ceftin, but considering you've been on it for 3 days and now you have this reaction, I believe you should stop it immediately and contact your Dr. All that I know is that allergic reactions to abx can be very serious!

Maybe you Dr will tell you it's OK, but I think you should definitely call him or her!
