Question about grapefruit seed extract

I'm considering adding grapefruit seed (for cyst form of Lymes), but I'm thinking somewhere I read that you can't take it while taking something else - is it Doxy?

I did read that it can be dangerous to take grapefruit seed extract with Doxy, because it increases the concentration of Doxy in your blood. Some people do it- but only after their Dr has okay'd it.

I have taken it with Biaxin, Bactrim, Rifampin and Ceftin (not all at once! :) ), and it's been fine. But I would recommend checking either with your doctor or a nauturopathic doctor beforehand, just in case.

Grapefruit in general increases the absorbtion of most medications. It can be grapefruit, juice or the vitamin.

I wanted to try grapefruit extract but could not find it, it seems like walmart would carry it. If u don't mind I'd love to hear where it can be purchased and price thanks lisa
