Another medication change

Wow, I am grateful I am seeing a LLMD but boy is this medication wearing me out. For the longest time I was on 200 mg of doxy. I don't think it was killing the lyme but it did have me in maintenance mode. Now I  am really being treated. I am currently on 300 mg of doxy, 500 mg zithromax and 1000 mg of ceftin. I am also on plaquenil.  My biggest complaint is the arthritis that

has settled in my knees. Since starting the ceftin on 2/12 my knee pain has increased to an unbearable level. I know this will pass. My LLMD and my orthopedist are trying to decide if knee injections are in order or if the ortho should try to clean out the joint. As of 2/12, the LLMD is preferring the injections to surgery. All I want is relief. I just needed to vent. 

Is anyone taking Enula Microbial Defense? It was recommended to help with detox?  I am also taking Kaprex. Getting really tired of taking pills. pills. pills.

I have a similar situation. I was on doxy 200mg when they diagnosed me with lyme, but it was 1 month later when I saw an LLMD who put me on 1000mg ceftin. that's when my knee stiffness and pain started to ease. Right now the stiffness is gone, there is pain, and inflammation still in the knee but llmd believes its the lyme infection. I had an increase in knee pain too once I started ceftin. However, i've been doing ceftin for well over 3 wks now, and my knee pain has come from 9 to 4. That's more than hope for me. I hope it continues to get better, and I hope you see the recovery in your knee too.
