Hi guys: I generally suffer from high blood pressure and have for many years. I have been feeling tired each afternoon this week and so I decided to take my BP and it was fairly low at that time. What would an afternoon dip in BP be from and do any of you also have this happen? I am not on meds.  I am thinking thyroid or adrenal perhaps.  Thanks   D

humm? I always have low blood preasure or "NORMAL" to Low.

and I think my thick blood thing had something to do with it. The thick blood is very common with lyme.

Not for Nothin but since I been on the blood thinner I actually lost 5 pounds and the lymphy looking swelling in my legs is going down. It's been 5 days only.

My head feels so much less preasure . I felt like I was in a coompressor tank or under water before.

I am even on prednisone and people usually watch their high blood preasure and mine was still LOW before the blood thinner.

They told me at the clinic you want your blood to be like wine not ketchup and that the drugs can't break thru thick blood.

Bucci: Thats interesting as always thought that with hypercoagulation you normally have high blood pressure as your heart has to work harder due to the blood being too thick.  Is it ever high at times?   D

I know..it has NEVER been high.. and I'm on prednisone.

The problem always was LOW ..but you know on the guagulation test it only showed up in one area as not good.(I'm gonna get a copy of my test and just had another test done)

but it was from when they tried to do the ozone treatment where they drain about a horse syringe of your blood out and then shoot it into a glass bottle and then they shoot the ozone gas into it and it couldn't break up my blood. The woman said in 18 yrs she never saw blood quagulate so fast like that.

I saw it was like puffy clouds in it. and drawing it out of me it was so dark and thick.

I can't beleive the swelling in my left leg went down. It was so hard as a rock the lymph treatment couldn't even move it.
my heel wasn't getting enough blood (I think) and that is why I couldn't walk on it.

hopefully I will have some test papers to bring tomorrow after my treatment.

I agree with you that the afternoon dip in bp is possibly due to adrenal and/or thyroid issues. I know that the adrenal gland is very involved with blood pressure. I'd also be curious if your blood sugar drops during this time, or if you feel more tired when your bp is low... My husband has a low bp as his "normal" - and apparently a lower bp runs in his Mom's family.

My bp is crazy high. they called it malignant hypertension. Is there an adrenal treatment that may help?

razzle doe your husband have LOW colesterol too. I always do. either LOW normal or I used to have LOW.

also my Dad has Low colestrol or OK and low blood preasure or OK. maybe it heriditary but my Dad has lyme

Yes, my Husband's cholesterol is usually very low. Interesting...

At a local Lyme support group meeting, someone shared an article about cholesterol and infection. The gist of the article was that cholesterol was protective against infection. I guess some with Lyme have below normal cholesterol levels. Mine was always normal, but I have had extremely high triglycerides before (probably from rapid/severe weight loss due to undiagnosed food allergies and GI Lyme).
