Magnesium supplements, heating pad, soaking in warm epsom salt baths, gentle stretching/exercise have all been helpful for muscle pain. Also, there is a homeopathic remedy called Arnica Montana that has been helpful for some muscle pain (available at local health food stores or online). I use the oral pellets, they work better for me than the topical Arnica gel.
