If you use sweetners (or would like to), find stevia. At least some Walmarts are now carrying the brand Truvia (I have NO connections to this company in any way, shape, or form). This is what I use because it's not all that expensive. My system is extremely sensitive to sugars, so I try to avoid them at all costs - besides the whole yeast & Lyme connections.
I have been able to reduce my sugar intake to a very low level now (it's really hard for me to completely remove all sugar from my diet, since it's in all kinds of foods), and I am feeling quite a bit better, both with my 'gut' & with the effect it had on my TBI's.
To find recipes to help avoid sugar, gluten & some other things, go to livingwithout.com (I have NO connections with this or any other companies), as the on-line version & the printed magazine focus on recipes to help avoid these things.
