loss of or wrong words

I have trouble expressing myself because I can not either remember the word or I throw some crazy off the wall word in.  Everybody i am close to communicates with me by guessing the word or getting it out.  Does anybody else do this?

I am not on meds because while i think they did help me, maybe save my life, but reached a point whereby I went off, because i think they quit working Jelainip please let us know what happens. afew years ago I was given a neuro-psych test. I flunked but showed "greater emotioal whatever than others. the only thing they recommedned was notes but he knew i'd lose them, referred me to a dr who does all day neuropsych tests, can u imagine? I should not have gone to my reuinion. words were comin out wrong I couldn't get stuff out oh well its over and another lesson in always listen to your gut (gut said do not go.)

This is a very disturbing symptom, but it will get better as you get better. My llmd suggested two supplements; Bacopa and Vinpecotine. They help a great deal.

Also, as upsetting and frustrating as it is, try not to get stressed out about it. The more tense you are, the worse it is. My family started making a game of guessing what I was trying to say. The laughter was very relaxing and often I could find the word after that.

Part of the problem I think (i sm a dr) (I also am lying) is it takes longer for the information called upon to get tothe site that called it.Like if I were to wait, oh, i don'tknow, a minute 2 or 3 it might come to me, i think there is a shortage. Why we substitute words is beyond my capacity to guess. My words do not even come close to what I intended. i hear this a lot "Lise iI know what u mean." I'm a walking talking game show. Anyway I have had a better day today I took 3 tylenol every 3 hours and it has helped. Now i guess i shall go take a nap, I value these almost as much as i value food: )

Hi Rose, My goodness this is one of my most frustrating, embarrassing and isolating symptoms. I have such a difficult time communicating orally at times and tend to avoid being around others because of it. Some days are much better than others and from what I've been told it will improve although I've been waiting for that to happen for a very long time...lol! The horrible brian fog causes me to do some pretty bizarre things which hopefully one day when it clears up I'll find very amusing and funny....that is if I can remember them...lol. Hang in there....there is hope!
