If I had a billion dollars I would set up centers where Lymies could check in and be taken care of in every way. Warm detox baths, massages, pain relief, healthy curative food served. Even someone to brush your hair because it hurts to hold your arms up. And then someone would come home with you and do your paperwork for you, take care of the house cleaning, shopping and all those things that aren't getting done. What do you think?
Of course, it would be nice if what you propose could happen all over the USA, but we all know this isn't realistic. I will tell you what I do think is realistic. Dr. Jernigan spends a great deal of his time training doctors to provide the kind of treatment that you speak of. Dr. Jernigan's protocol at his clinic is all natural, natural medicines, natural treatments and therapies and natural detox, etc. No, they don't serve food there, but he has good suggestions for healthy eating that he recommends for his Lyme patients. I don't think he plans to train people to go home with you to do you house cleaning and shopping, although, that would certainly be nice!
Dr. Jernigan would like to see more natural treatment centers
open up across the US and Canada and other countries as well. That's his dream and his goal. He's doing what he can to train as many doctors as he can so that people don't have to travel so far to get the kind of treatment he offers in Wichita, KS. I suspect, within the next five to ten years, Dr. Jernigan's approach to treating Lyme diseases will become the "norm" and we'll be seeing more and more people abandoning "conventional" treatment for treating Lyme disease for what we call "unconventional" treatment.
In a nutshell, this pretty much sums up Dr. Jernigan's philosophy for treating Lyme disease:
"At Hansa Center for Optimum Health, our doctors provide treatment and education that works with God's natural design of the body, empowering the body to heal itself.
We believe that true healing cannot occur by simply masking symptoms, so we seek to treat the cause of the illness, utilizing extensive non-invasive treatments in conjunction with supplements to help the body rid itself of disease. "Health in a bottle" is a myth - if you must continually take a pill, it is not correcting what is necessary for your body to heal. Most treatments for Lyme disease today rely on abx to make us well, but does it really? My wife, sad to say, is suffering with her third relapse right now. The first two times she was treated with abx this time she's taking natural medicine instead of going back on abx. This approach will allow her body to fight this disease on it's own rather than the abx doing it for her. She's been on the Jernigan protocol for about
ten days now, and while she isn't feeling very good at the moment, she's not suffering with herxes, and doesn't need to worry about
candida or stomach issues because the natural medicines don't have these side effects like abx do.
Anyway, someday, in the not so distant future, it's very likely that people with Lyme, and other chronic diseases, will have access to clinics like Dr. Jernigan's in almost every state. Dr. Jernigan is working hard to train doctors, teaching them how to treat people using natural medicines and therapies, which I believe is more in tune with God's natural design of the body allowing it to do the work of healing itself as Dr. Jernigan believes it was designed to do. When that day comes, I believe we're going to see far less people suffering with this disease.
