Does anyone know what causes my right eye lid to swell? I know its from the lymes disease but what makes this happen? I tried to research it but can't find much on it.

How long have you had this? Could you have an infection unrelated to lyme?

The reason I ask is that two people in my group of 8 friends who get together once a month had an eye infection that's going around right now. They hadn't seen each other so didn't get it from each other. One had a very swollen eyelid.

I guess it can be serious and affect vision if not treated. They were both on drops.

Also, once on the drops it's not contagious.

Yours may be only lyme related though,

In my case, swelling around the eyes (mainly upper eyelids) was one of several indicators of a faulty thyroid.

It seems to happen on and off as one of my Lymes symptoms for awhile now. Spoke to my doctor he said all my blood work for my Thyroid was normal Thank God. I told him about the eye and he said it could be a herx reaction since I recently began taking Flagyl. Just wondering if anyone else had this symptom. It doesnt itch or any thing just a swollen eye lid and some weird pain in the eye sometimes.
