Does heat intolerance go away?

I am currently being treated for lyme, and for the past four years I have not been able to tolerate the heat at all. Is this something that I will have to deal with forever, or will this go away after I am treated?

Are you almost done with the treatment, and has a lot of your other symptoms improved? I have been sick with neurological lyme for four years, and I just started treatment two months ago. I am getting bicillin injections three times a week and then next month I will be changing my treatment to an iv pic. I am also on oral antibiotics and a lot of supplements. My LLMD believes that with a year of this aggressive treatment many of my symptoms will improve. How are you doing after a year of treatment?

I've read that heat intolerance can be caused by adrenal fatigue. I used to love the heat, but now I am only comfortable in a narrow temperature range. This started for me when I contracted RSD (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy/Complex Regional Pain Syndrome; thankfully it is in remission right now) and has only gotten worse with time. I strongly suspect that chronic Lyme burns out the adrenal glands in a very subtle/slow way so that we hardly notice until the adrenals are almost all the way shut down. I'm starting a hormone treatment next week (for balancing female hormones) that may also help some with the adrenals...so we'll see if that helps heat intolerance and any of my other symptoms too.
