I saw a chiropractor briefly (I don't believe he was also an osteopath, but I figured I'd still post a reply since there was only one other!). I was so desperate at the time I went to see him that I was willing to do anything. I had also been a very active member of another online forum, having to do with pain management...the majority of the other forum members were very anti-chiropractic treatment, as many of them had been injured or suffered worsening of symptoms from chiropractic treatment... As with all online communities, there was no way to know the "whole story" or all of the objective facts as to whether these claims were true, but it did spark some fear in me about continuing... And honestly I don't think the treatments I had did a bit of good anyway. It usually felt good at the time (stretching the body and the immediate manipulation) but I was often in pain shortly afterward... Had it been beneficial, I would've considered continuing treatments - the guy has a great reputation in two very popular resort towns here. I think if you're interested, you just have to try it out with someone reputable, be cautious, and see if it works for you...
