Waste of Time

Neuro said he everything was OK. He saw two white areas on my brain that may or may not be MS. He said something about needing to see more for an MS diagnosis. The EMG and nerve conduction was normal, he didn't even pick up any of the tics that go on throughout my body. So, it's off to my last stop, the allergist/immunologist that I spoke about. The neuro wouldn't do Lyme test, he said it doesn't present in the manner my symptoms have. Anyway, I ordered the test from Igex and it's on it's way, I know the immunologist will do the test for me. Neuro said to come back for a recheck in two months. I'm glad I passed the tests for the big gun diseases, it's been two months with symptoms (nerve pain and musle spasms) but I'm guessing if this is still around...I'll be doing the studies again. Pissed me off. He basically said this is stress. And I said...yes, it's stress, I don't want to be here, I don't want to be sick, and I want to know what's going on, that's the stress.

I wonder if this means some type of bacterial infeciton is going on. What do you think?

Thanks for the response. I'm going to the allergist/immunologist to get the Lyme test. I think there's some autoimmunue thing or a weird infection, like Lyme, that has me sick. Hoping the new lady will not deem me nuts and dismiss me. In the meantime, I hate waiting for two months to see if I'm better. I need to do a better job at not letting my mind get ahead of itself. I've been too consumed with worry about this and it's been unhealthy, hard to get away from that.

Mamyou is right - you have enough symptoms that you should really get in to be seen by a Lyme-literate practitioner as soon as possible.

The longer you wait, the more damage & the deeper entrenched these infections become.
