How did you treat your Bartonella?

My doc and I are using herbs - both Chinese herbs and Western herbs. I have just gotten to where I can tolerate the dosage of the first herb- Houttuyniae- at the recommended dosage and there are another two herbs that we have to add. So I still don't know how well my treatment is going to work, but we have had great success with the Lyme so far, so I'm very hopeful!!

I'll be interested to see what others have to say!

I know that some have taken A-Bart to treat their infections. Why not use our search function and type in "A-Bart", it should pull up a bunch of posts!



And I must correct myself, I just got back from my doc's and she told me that the Houttuyniae alone is my treatment, the other herbs were to be used as carrier herbs should I need them.

Sure seems to be!! I'm having symptoms flares that those lovely little red streaks show up! It's a very powerful herb though!!! If anyone is interested in trying to use this herb, I would really stress the need for a practitioner to not only help decide how much should be used (for my body weight and condition I only take 3 grams of Houttuyniae and make a tea out of it - divided into 4 doses), and how well you may or may not handle it. It took me 5 weeks to be able to handle using just 3 grams a day in a tea - and my acu doc almost pulled me off of it because I wasn't handling it very well.
