Here's where I'm confused (and maybe it's brain inflammation causing that confusion!)...I constantly feel such pressure in my head like my brain is going to explode. I have all the symptoms of encephalitis, and I'm trying to persuade my LLMD to test and/or consider a clinical diagnosis of bartonella because I have every symptom of it. Something from burrascanos guidelines describes bartonella patients as having CNS symptoms out of proportion to the others. That's me. Also increases symptoms of encephalitis like confusion and cognitive problems. Again...that's me in a nut shell.
My question though is can I have encephalitis...brain inflammation, if my MRI, spect, and ct scans have all been normal?? I don't get it. Is the brain only inflamed when I feel like it is? Does it change that quickly? I'm just trying to connect the dots here, and they're not connecting. How can I have all the symptoms of brain inflammation and not have it be visible on tests??
