parched herx?

I have a feeling of being parched. It comes and goes for past few days. My mouth isn't dry, but I have a bit of a burning sensation in my throat (maybe its heartburn but I haven't ever had heartburn before so I don't know for sure) and my face is tingling like a have a sunburn but I don't ( I've been avoiding sun because of the Doxy).

I'm wondering if I should identify this as a Herx symptom. Dr. told me that Herx is an intensification of symptoms I've already had, but this is new. Can you have a Herx that is a new symptom?

Or is it more likely that this is a side effect of the drugs/herbs...

If something like this is more likely a side effect than a herx, how does one go about deciding what to back off of... I think I'm going to skip a dose of the Byron White A-L tonight....

Oh!  I never looked at it like that.  Does that mean then that if I am not herxing bad or at all really that the meds still work but I am doing a good job at detoxing?  I guess I sorta thought herxing was a necessity and that perhaps the meds arent quite strong enough.

You are right in saying that herxing is not a necessity. It only represents that you are dealing with too many toxins. This could be from moving too fast with your treatment, or just that you are having trouble detoxing. If a person is doing all that they can do to detox and are still having a lot of herxes or serious herxes, then things should change as the body will not heal at that point. It's in crisis.

A slight herx can often indicate that that person is on the right amount of abx -whether they are natural of Pharm abx. I have dealt with a slight herx off and on while on my herb for Bartonella, it's stirring up more symptoms as I go along with my treatment -but, the symptoms generally are tolerable, just not any fun to live with as I had stopped having all but a few symptoms as the infection lay dormant. Did that make any sense???

I'm so sorry Broken!!! LOL! Hang in there! Like I said, I was where you are now. Things will get better! I'm kind of still waiting for that third eye as well! Giggle! I'm glad you enjoy my posts - even if they don't make any sense!! Giggle!

All I really said was that it's not necessary to herx for a treatment to be working.

As for what you experience, could it be that your sinuses are just dry? Where does your face hurt? How bad does your face hurt when you take the doxy - is it a really sharp, cutting pain? Or more dull like a bad ache or throbbing pain?
