From what I understand about
Nystatin or any other anti fungal, is that it also kills off the beneficial yeasts in our intestines. So a probiotic would seem to be a must for those using it.
In my very own opinion - the best probiotic that one can get is kefir. It can be bought at most health food stores, in some larger grocery stores, or you can make your own at home. I would urge everyone to look into this form of probiotics, as kefir contains many different strains of good bacteria, rich in B vitamins, magnesium, calcium as well as providing other health benefits.
Although I'm sure it's not for everyone, a person can get started making kefir themselves at home, or can buy 'kits' to make kefir several times before needing to buy another 'kit', or a person can buy the already made commercial product.
Kefir is something that can be added when one needs an extra little 'push' of probiotics, or can be the sole source of probiotics that are taken for as long as you chose to take them! A 2 to 4 ounce a day glass of kefir will keep things adjusted just right in our intestines. Please do some reading on this to see if it's right for you! If you just type in kefir there will be more links to read from that you will want to follow!
