From the BBC website.

yeah i just read this article on facebook yesterday...pretty good stuff...but should ve been obvious here in the us....i only had one more semester left before i was a cosmetologists...and now i have 1100 hours that i didnt know what to do with...but i didnt know how to "help" in the lyme world with this...and then i thought about
being a dog groomer..because dogs will very well bring ticks into your house...and that was the angle i was going to use to start my business....."have your pets groomed weekly to cut down on exposure to ticks"....i want to groom all animals that ticks can feed on....i truly think i found my calling....

Congrats Mik!!!
It has to start somewhere, and I think you're right! It's started!! Every little tiny step counts!

LymieAngel,
LOL!! I get a kick out of you!! I think that would be a great angle! You can help spread awareness as well as help people and their pets cut down on their risk of getting Lyme and other tick-borne infections!

Interesting to use ticks on dogs as a way of seeing how much of them there are...
... But the article doesn't even mention the most simple solution - treat your dog against ticks? There are neck-drops and collars available to dogs & cats that humans cannot use, that keep ticks away for a month at a time...
Good that awareness is being spread, unfortunately, the tip to go to your GP (house doctor), is useless as UK doctors follow IDSA guidelines...
