Can u have Herxes from treating pneumonia even if u dont have a TBI ?

I have a friend that discovered she had pneumonia this week and they put her on Zithromiacin...well she was tested for the flu but it cam back negative....but i called her today to check on her and ashe is complaining with severe leg and arm pain....she has never had symptoms of lyme or ever suspected of having it...but the meds r causing her to herx...she said she has been on zithromiacin since wednesday morning and continuing to feel worse with alot of pain....since pneumonia is a "bug"..could she be having a herx just from treating?

Never heard of a pneumonia herx. I don't think the organisms that cause pneumonia produce neurotoxins like Lyme does...but I am sure others will comment with more information.

i guess with what i was askin is ...does it sound like she could possibly have a TBI since the med is causing her to feel that way?

Are you aware that Mycoplasma pneumoniae is the most common form of Mycoplasma (yet another tick-borne infection), and typically causes respiratory infections like pneumonia, bronchitis, pharyngitis, and asthma?

Although the Jarisch-Herxheimer reaction is not limited to Lyme Disease or other tick-borne infections either.
