Lyme disease doctor in Australia or Germany (and what is a holistic approach?)

Hello,

I would like to get some help in getting information + contact details on a LLMD please, in either Sydney (Australia) or Potsdam (Germany).

I think I was bitten by a tick in Germany in August 2011 as I developed a bulls-eye rash a month later and a very nasty overall rash all down the back of my thighs and calf (and many other symptoms).

I am currently back home in Sydney but will be moving back to Potsdam in two weeks. I have had a blood test from my local GP to get tested for 'antibodies of Lyme disease' but as my research tells me, this is highly inaccurate (plus it has been over three weeks and I still haven't received my results yet).

I have received a kit from IgeneX, however I am thinking of not going ahead with this as I found a doctor in Germany (BCA clinic) that apparently treats Lyme using a holistic approach, so I may get tested their instead. But I have no idea what a 'holistic' approach is and whether I should just go and see a GP in Germany instead. Very, very confused.

Hi agent and welcome!

The only Lyme Literate Naturopath that I know of is the famous Dr. Thomas Rau in Switzerland.   He runs the famous clinic called Paracelsus Clinic (Klinic).

Hi, I am from Germany.
There are several LLMDs in Germany, and I know there is at least one in Berlin. Do you speak German? You can sign up in the German Lyme forum and ask for help there.

Hi there, I think gt makes things worse, especially with such a compilcated issue like lyme :). Just sing up and post in English, there are enough people who can read and answer in English.

Btw. I think holistic means in this case they treat with abx, but also with naturals. I think BCA is a good adress, although I am not convinced of all the methods they are using. And I think they are one of the most expensive places for lyme treatment.
