Bear with me, as this may seem strange.
Has anyone ever had the feeling of everything stopping and just NEEDING to gasp for air? I've been having these episodes where it feels like my whole body is just going to stop and then I have to gasp for air for things to return to normal. I don't know if this could be something related to Lyme or not?

Yes, that is known as "air hunger" by LLMD's. It's pretty common to have that especially when infected with babesia. I get mine conveniently when I'm trying to sleep.

Is air hunger considered dangerous? I've been having a lot of it, and when I went to the ER my Pulse Ox wa at 98%.

No, not dangerous, just annoying!
And do your best not to panic, as hard as that seems! Anxiety will just make everything worse.
Hope this symptom passes soon. Are you being treated for Babesia?

I'm not currently being treated for Babesia, but I am taking Clindamycin HCL for a tooth issue. I'm wondering if that could be causing a herx?

Clindamycin can definitely cause a herx. I took Mepron/clindamycin as babesia treatment. Also, clindamycin is risky for causing C. Diff so it's really important to make sure you take a ton of probiotics to prevent it. S. Boulardii is also a good preventative.
