Heavy detoxing is different for each person, as we can all tolerate different levels of detoxing depending on where we are in our disease(s). Since we each can tolerate different levels of detoxing, when you need to step it up, increase the number of times you do what ever you are doing, or add in other things that help you to detox. If you are taking a full body detox bath, then add in a foot soak or two. If you aren't doing any soaks, add in a foot soak. Whatever you do to increase your detoxing, be
very, very careful to add these things into your routines
slowly, as they can bring on a herx as well.
Many people use activated charcoal, certain types of clay or other types of "binding agents", as IndiaBeth has said.
For me heavy detoxing means dry skin brushing twice a day, detox foot bath twice a day (I don't have a tub), eating detoxing foods, and drinking as much water as I can get down me, adn doing this all daily. If I am really bad off, I have a livestock watering tub (don't laugh too hard, it works!!LOL!) that I drag out and shove into the shower stall so I can do a detoxing soak - full body, well, 1/2 at a time any way!!

I'm taking so many herbs so many times a day, that I can't seem to find the right time to take those binding agents though. It takes a four hour time slot where you aren't eating or taking any meds or anything, as the binding agents will take those right out of the body as well.
It'll be interesting to see what all everyone else uses in their detoxing routines!!!
