I'm heading to the book store within the next couple days to expand my understanding.

Beating Lyme Disease 2nd Edition by Dr. David Jernigan is at the top of my list.

I believe this book covers everything but does anyone have other suggest lymes reading? Or thoughts about this book do I need the first edition as well?

Steve Buhner's "Healing Lyme". He's read all the literature and condensed it into his book. He keeps his "voice" pretty unbiased. Lots of excellent information, and a good place to start learning about the disease and how to treat it.

Jernigan's book is better to read if you want to start on his protocol (or at least that's why I read it). Personally didn't pick up a whole lot of information from it.
