Hi Lymelight!
I've been following this thread and I would like to throw something out there for you to consider - if you don't mind.
I've been infected since I was 7 yrs old, having periods of time where I was knocked out of life and in bed for a few months at a time with no explanation for years and years. I'm 49 now and only started
effective treatment just 2 1/2 yrs ago with a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner who has had enough training that she holds the equivalent of a PhD in it. She has been able to turn me around almost completely now.
To make a
very long story short, I used abx for a full year and ended up a lot more ill than before I started them - bed ridden, couldn't tolerate ambient temps above 80 or below 72, couldn't stand for more than 10 minutes at a time, constant muscle twitching/spasms/cramps somewhere in my body, failing adrenals and thyroid - and the list goes on and on and on.

Anyway, with good Holistic care and being seen every two weeks now for the last two and a half years, my life has been turned around. Like you said - it was like someone clicked the 'reboot' button for me!
Seems like you could find that without resorting to an expensive version of it? I do have the contact info of a Chinese Medicine practitioner in Tucson if you feel like it's something you would like to try and you could get there regularly. Please email me if you would like that info.
Otherwise, I do hope that we can help you find a practitioner that will help you! Have you already tried all of these resources (although most will only be searching for LLMD's - not Holistic practitioners)?
For information on finding a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor(LLMD) in your area, you can start a new thread titled something like:"Looking for LLMD in the _______ area."
You can also email our long time member, Dan's Mother at:
phassan@optonline.net You can also email Stephanie at:

Lyme Disease.
You can also go to The Lyme Disease Association and search for LLMD's 3 times in a month. You have to register first. Here is the link:
www.lymediseaseassociation.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=277&Itemid=74 You will want to find an ILADS (International Lyme And Associated Diseases Society) doctor. The ILADS site is another great place to read to get you started on your Lyme journey.
