CD57 Panel

 Ok, so I got the results from my CD57 Panel today.  It is 293!!  My LLND emailed to tell me and said I should go off my abx and we will make a new plan of attack.  What does this wonderful high number say to all of you.  I am not quite sure what this means.  I still have symptoms.  Please, someone tell me what you think.

I would not go purely by the CD57 to determine if you should stop abx. Maybe try to go off for a while if you think side effects could be the cause of your lingering symptoms, but if you continue to feel like you still have symptoms, definitely get back on SOME kind of treatment whether abx or herbs.

Even though I was hugely positive for Bb, my CD57 never got below the 200s except very briefly only to recover later. Even though, I have never tested positive for Babs or Bart, I have all the clinical symptoms to suggest I have them as well - and have had all of them for over 30 years! I don't think the CD57 tells you much and that seems to be the general consensus these days with LLMDs. Even with my high CD57, I had and still struggle symptoms with herxing and detox at times. I think CD57 is just one of perhaps many, many markers that must be considered with Lyme, TBIs and other opportunistic pathogens (EBV, for me).

I also had a high cd57, 256, I think. The dr. said it was lyme upregulating the immune system. Who knows? I've treated but haven't checked the cd 57 again lately. Still haven't cured my primary issue either.
