How much milk thistle is everyone taking and why is it important to start off slow?

Milk thistle can trigger detox reactions, thus the need to start slowly.
I don't take it because it contains sulfur (and I have a sulfur intolerance).

Im curious about
this as well. The bottle says 30 to 40 drops in small amount of water 3-4 times daily between meals. Does this sound right or?

I started taking 175 mg 2 x's a day in capsule form, but when I started taking it, I was in the middle of a cytokine storm. Now that most of the storm is over, I still take that much. I can't say that I felt any reactions from it.

I take 175mg 3 times a day. I started at one every other day for a week, then 2 a day for a few days, and now I take 3 a day each day. Idk if it caused any reaction for me, I was already in the middle of a major herx when I started. So I eased into it just in case.
I've had issues with elevated liver enzymes in the past (so much so that an ID doc insisted I was an alcoholic a few years back...grrrr), but lately I feel like I have more energy. I really think the milk thistle has helped me in that respect. I can't say for sure, but something seems to be helping a little. :)
Razzle, out of curiosity, what kind of reactions can it cause? Just typical herx stuff, or something more specific?
