Pancreatitis and Lyme?

I'm here in the hospital with pancreatitis, my lipase, amylase and triglycerides are all elevated and albumin is low. They said one cause of pancreatitis is immune problems. Have any of you ever experienced pancreatitis or related problems?

Interesting question - I have had low elastase which is often linked to exocrine insufficiency and chronic pancreatitis. It normalised after a while - whether it was due to meds or it just fixed itself I don't know but I could well imagine it might be linked to your lyme, nothing surprises me where Lyme is concerned..... Nothing!

I hope you get out of hospital and start feeling better soon.

I'm so sorry that you're in the hospital!! I do hope that you get to feeling better soon and can go home where you can get some good rest!

I'm sure that there are more threads that would have different info in them about Lyme and the pancreas. Just use our search feature to find them, and enter the term "Lyme" in with your other search words to narrow down the results some.
