Which BW Detox formula did you get? Detox 1, Detox 2 powder, or NT Detox. I am on all 3. Let me know and I can give you feedback for how they have worked for me.

Sorry for taking so long to answer back. I noticed a small amount a difference when I started Detox 1 a couple months ago. Mostly for emotional stress. I take 1 drop every morning first thing when I wake up. I think the NT detox works the best out of the detox BW formulas. And the Detox 2 powder is essential for liver detox (take before bedtime). What did you LLMD say about why h/she prescribed Detox 1?

NT detox is for neuro symptoms, I think the NT stands for neurological toxins. My LLMD prescribed it to me because I was so depressed, crying all the time. I was NOT depressed before Lyme, I was a pretty happy person most of the time. She hoped it would help with my "Lyme Brain". I think it does help but I am on one drop every other day, but I am now also on antidepressants. My LLMD believes low doses of BW formulas are just as effective as higher doses. She very slowly increases the doses so herxing is kept to a minimum. However, even though that is her method when I started treatment Oct. 3 I herxed horribly.

FYI...Flagyl is supposed to be a good cyst buster, which you may already know. It is very strong. Before I knew I had LD (symptoms started June 2012) they put me on Cipro and Flagyl 500 mg twice per day bc they thought I had some sort of GI infection bc my abdominal pain was so severe and they could find not other cause. By end of day 3 I was almost out of my mind in pain, my vision was so blurry I could barely see, extreme nausea, diarrhea, massive headache, very rapid heartbeat, did not sleep for 3 days. I did not think it was an allergic reaction bc I had had Flagyl in the past with no reaction. WELL...didn't know at the the time but I was having a massive herx. I told my husband and my family I loved them...and prepared for death. Told them to make sure and get an autopsy bc I figured that was the only way they may finally figure out what had happened to me. I know this sounds extreme and very dramatic, but I did not know it was possible to feel that bad. I thought I was dying. If you have a horrible herx, talk to your doc and maybe he can adjust your dose if needed. Best of luck, my thoughts are with you.

That is VERY interesting. I did not know that about fluoroquinolone antibiotics. I have had Cipro in the past for a bladder infection and didn't seem to have any side effects. But also I did not know it could make the dormant Lyme come out! That is probably why I got 100x worse after 3 days of Cipro and Flagyl, 500mg each 2x/day. I also started having weird seizure like symptoms after that. I would be talking and suddenly just blank out for 30 seconds or so; couldn't talk or move. I am a health care provider and it happened once when I was talking to a patient, I was so embarrassed but couldn't move or talk. She just stared at me like..."hello?". I had no warning when they would come on, and that was before I was on any medications or started treatment. Then the episodes got worse as my health started to deteriorate. And...as I am sure all can relate my confidence was shattered after that. I feared going anywhere because I was going to have an "attack". After all this time my LLMD still doesn't know what they are, EEG and MRI are normal. Her guess is that it is a severe aggravation of the autonomic nervous system due to the Lyme trying to take over, and everything goes haywire for a few minutes. I am sure it is because of the Lyme, but just want them to STOP.

Thank you for the info Patty. Didn't mean to go off on a totally different topic. I know we were supposed to be talking about BW formulas. Like everyone else I am just trying to make sense of all of this and get a handle on this devastating disease.
