Hey nervousmummytobe,
My daughter's symptoms:
First year, high unexplained fevers, hospitalized twice. One with a 107.8, and another time with a 107. And throughout her younger years, she always seemed to develope a high fever. It wasn't uncommon for her to have a 104 every few months. Sometimes, she wouldn't even have any cold symptoms, just fever.
She was always very tiny. One of the smallest in the class, lyme can stunt a child's growth. She had pains in her ankles and knees, was told it was growing pains. She had gum disease, always blamed us for her not brushing correctly. Restless leg syndrome, constant strep throat, scoliosis, esophogeal paralysis (couldn't swallow well), knee pain, ankle pain, lower back pain, swollen lymph nodes, constant sugar craving, severe difficiency in Vit d, anemia, muscle pain. The closer to puberty she was, the worse the symptoms got.
It was when she began her period that all the cognitive symptoms began: dizziness, confusion, headaches, fatigue, panic attacks, anxiety, feeling blue, very painful periods, loss of appetite, floaters in visual disturbances, memory problems, swollen lymph nodes, mood swings, irratability, somnolence, backache, chest pain, abdominal pain, insomnia, narcolepsy syndrome, acne (not just common teen acne), nothing helped it, thyroid nodule.
She also has ehrlichia/anaplasmosis, bartonella, and babesia. Poor girl, what my love had to go through. But she is doing much better now. We are hoping this year will be her final year of meds.
Let me know if you have any other questions...
Samantha
This is all I remember at this time. I will add more if I remember.
