Transition off of antibiotics

Wondering if anyone is at the point of transitioning off antibiotics --- actually at the end of their treatment. What to do next?

My daughter -- after about year of various antibiotic treatments has improved nearly 95%. The one and nearly only symptom left is eye-photo sensitivity. This is the only symptom left that we can tell.

LLMD would either like to keep her on Bart antibios or transition her off. I personally would like the latter.

Has anyone experienced not 100% improvement but close and stopped treatment. And then what next?

I'd like to try some tolerant herb that would support her immunity for awhile until totally off. any suggestions?

She has not been on any herbal supplements, so I don;t know how that would go either.

Has your daughter's doctor tried pulse therapy? Thats what I did with my daughter. She was taken off antibiotics for 2 weeks and then back on. This was to go on for 2 -3 months. She was asymptomatic at this point, and we thought she may have been done. But when she went back on the meds 2 weeks later, she began herxing, and we realized she wasn't finished yet. With pulse therapy, it gives the lyme a chance to feel like it is no longer in a threatening environment, and it comes out again.

I am very happy we did that. My biggest fear is that we think the lyme is fully treated, and 10 years from now something happens and treatment is 6 years long and she is bedridden for years.

Samjones, that is a good point. I may explore this. no, she has not tried pulse.

I've discussed pulse therapy a little bit with LLMD but we did not explore this option too much. For some reason, LLMD would like continual same level of drug in the body during treatment.

When I spoke with Zhang for babesia treatment, he does not promote this and is not part of his regime for some reason.

But then I spoke with another chinese herb practioner and she thinks pulse therapy with herbs is good,  gives the parasite/bacteria that are hiding a chance to replicate (or propagate) and then hit them at a weak point in their cycle when back on the herb ready to kill the young.It also lessens the chance of the bug becoming resistant to the herb which makes sense to me.

I just don't know enough about the lifecycle or biology of these bugs. And then they mutate and/or become resistant.
