Hi Marie,
Yes, exercise is sooooooo important if one is capable of doing it. They (the exercise experts?) say that walking is the best exercise and I agree. It's hard to walk outside when there is lots of snow and ice on the road or I just don't feel like walking outside (rain, whatever) so what I have been doing all these years (and I have tried other tapes or DVDs) is Leslie Sansone DVD's "Walk Away The Pounds".
The fantastic thing about Leslie Sansone is you can start slow (look on Amazon for her 1 and 2 mile DVD). You can build up to walking 3 or 4 miles (even more!) and it's some workout! The 3 miles is more like aerobic walking, you do knee lifts, front kicks, back kicks, move the arms, etc. She is a great instructor! I use weights but you can do that later.
By exercising you are also getting more oxygen into your blood stream which lyme bacteria hate! It's just plain healthy. Then after I do my miles, I take a detox bath! One can really build up a sweat!!
Of course I have to put in a link:

But I bought my DVD's from Amazon.
Hope this helps!
