I've read that a few things that kill lyme naturally do not cause lyme to go into a cyst form. I've read thieves oil for example does not put lyme on the defense and that Japanese knotweed does. I'm looking for more herbs that will continue to kill bacteria, soirochetes, viruses, Protozoa, etc without causing the defense response. Thanks!

have you looked at teasel root? I just started it myself so I dont have a review, but its cheap and the people that believe in it do it strongly. (as does every protocol)
I also use alot of grapefruit seed extract and cats claw.

I was using the pills 3 times a day and 5 drops of liquid in my green juice, but I just use the drops now.

I took GSE for years and it never seemed to do anything for me. Perhaps I had the wrong kind, or perhaps what is said about
it not getting systemically absorbed in my case is true...I don't know.
On the other hand, there are a lot of other herbs that are great for Lyme/coinfections.
Cowden
Zhang
Buhner
Jernigan
Byron White
etc.
These are all herbal protocols for Lyme/coinfections that I have heard good things about
...but what works for one person may not work for another.
And some find they need to combine aspects of more than one herbal protocol to find success.
Personally, I am doing well with Andrographis - but I know not everyone can handle it (and guys need to be careful with it if they want to have a family...andrographis kills sperm).
But I don't do well with japanese knotweed or cat's claw. But I know others who do very well with these herbs. It just depends on the individual.

Just wanted to mention this- it may not be relevant here, but just to be on the safe side...
Grapefruits/juice can interact with certain medications. Idk about
any specific interactions with herbals, but I do know there's a pretty extensive list of traditional meds that have the potential for dangerous interactions when mixed with grapefruit. Here's a link with a list of those:

Kerri I have herx-phobia too...even a warm shower can set one of for me sometimes. Just starting my first "herx" from abx and it is not pleasant, to say the least :-/

Rori.
What are you doing to protect your tummy against the effects of the antibiotics?
I know you're anxious about
detoxing, but it's more important than ever.
