Success stories

Since I'm fairly new to Lyme disease, I thought maybe you all could share your stories and if you are recovered-your success stories. :)

LOL! That's bittersweet! ;) but seriously that's so great! :)

My son had a short bout of lyme, treated for 4 months and is well and growing leaps and bounds today. My husband and I have chronic lyme but despite some aches and pains, we are both feeling well. I am better than my husband but was being treated prior to him.

I am battling a neuropathy we believe is caused by lyme or barts so I am back on antibiotics but when I tell you I feel FANTASTIC! I have energy, positive attitude, I sleep wonderful, I am currently dieting and exercising. It is just wonderful. I never ever thought I would feel this good again.

I was sick for 2 yrs with no answers. First just tired, then achey and then all hell broke loose: heart arrhythmia, stabbing pains, drunk feeling, horrible pressure headaches, hearing sensitivity, always feeling like my insides were buzzing etc. the list goes on. I finally found a doc to test me through igenix. Positive for lyme. Llmd had me on abx and I didn't get better. Far worse. Eventually tested for babs and was positive. I left llmd and found another more experienced one. Have been seeing him since Nov. 8th and the improvement is amazing. I'm not 100% yet, but I am having many 90% days. It's amazing. A year ago I was certain I would die--so was my husband.

Hang in there!!!!! I know it's so hard to believe, I certainly doubted it. But you can get better!

I take tindamax bactrim and art. My doc believes tindamax and bactrim impact both lyme and babs. I didn't believe him at first. This is after my first llmd had me on mepron for 5 months. I was sicker on mepron than any time during treatment. I'm pretty sure I was toxic because as soon as I stopped I improved somewhat. Then with new abx I got even better.
