People will probably ask you about your MS diagnosis and propose that Lyme could be the cause for such symptoms.

There is strong evidence that Lyme can cause auto-immune disease or flat out mimic such symptoms.

do you see any improvement?

@vacant, im using a mix of abx and herbs and supplements. Everyones different but id say doing both gives you the best shot. @mystery Yes I have a lesion, lyme can cause lesions

vacant: I have the lyme diagnoses and neuro issues. I had an extensive MRI that showed no brain lesions (usually assoicated with MS). But lyme patients can have the lesions.

I had vascular constriction due to lyme (this can cause brain lesions and MS symptoms...so this can be the link between lyme and MS). I had an intervention done..kind of like a veinous angioplasty..it was outpatient.

This cleared up the vein constriction and corrected the blood backflowing to the brain.

All this to say..lyme can certainly be the cause of MS.

I have never taken abx and, yes, you can certainly get well without them.

The book Beating Lyme, by Dr. Jernigan, is very good. He is my doc and has treated thousands of lyme patients (Including those the MS diagnosis) without abx.

You can google the book and by it from the Hansa Center.

I am sorry to hear that about ccsvi! i just got the four-month MRI and veins are still clear.

Did you stay on lumbrokinase or TPP protease anything like that? did you still get treated for lyme?

The neurologist I saw would not see people for the procedure unless they were getting treated for lyme by a good doc. Was this the case for you?

Curious...wondering why it did not stay..any thoughts?

Caroline..ah..that might explain it...ccsvi is a new science and they are learning about it.

My docs told me (and showed me on the MRI), the webbing that caused the veins to constrict. they said it was due to lyme infecting the veins and one needed to be treated properly before and after so that it did not return. lumbrokinase and TPP Protease are enzymes that break up the stuff in the veins.

Caroline..I would do so but under the guidance of a good LL doc who understands CCSVI and lyme and how to treat the vein problems due to lyme infection.

I would just interview docs until I found one. Or, of course, you could get treated by one doc and find another to help with the ccsvi issue as a second doc..even on phone consults possibly?

I have used multiple LL docs in the past....with their consent..recognizing that some had expertise in some areas and other in other areas.

It is also possible, from my understanding and talking with another lyme patient who had the same venous blockage..that you can treat it without ccsvi, but it can take longer. She was diagnosed with the vein issue (at Hansa) before the CCSVI was available and thus did not do it. Now her veins are fine, she told me.

I guess it just goes back to getting good docs and good info and going from there.

good luck! there is a lot of info out there! I have been at this a long time and always hyper-educate myself. I have to say, though, that I have learned a tremendous amount in the last 6 months ...kind of cutting edge stuff I think..

In a nutshell, though: I was sick for 17 years with CFS...diagnosed three years ago with lyme.

Three years ago had:

severe heart palps...was sent to ER with no findings,
fatigue that affected work..had to take days off, sometimes many in a row (work for myself so could deal with this)
lots of head pressure, not severe, but constant.
body aches like flu, muscle twitches, night sweats.
Would crash hard, sometimes for days if I did aerobic exercise.
Could not think clearly sometimes...at worst hard to hold a conversation
anxiety, very scattered, edgy much of the time
hard to concentrate

I did not have pain, though. Except the flu-like body aches..which were not severe, but annoying.

Fatigue was main debilitating symptom.

doc diagnosis at that time (LLdoc..sort of): adrenal fatigue, gut dysbiosis, thyroid issues, parasites
