With a very sad heart I tell you that I have come to the conclusion that I must now step down as a Moderator from this forum.
For those that have been here a while, you know that this forum has been my passion - but I now must move to a new passion - Psoriasis. Yeppers! I now have Psoriasis, with Psoriatic arthritis! Lovely, just lovely!!! (Boy!! that hurts!!)
I had a big long post thought out - telling everyone how much I'll miss you all, and how much I've learned from all of you, but I've decided to just wing it.
I WILL miss you!!
I HAVE learned sooo much from all of you!!!! Thank you!!!
I'll still be around some -but I have to go learn about
this new "thing" and learn how to live with it, as well as keeping myself healthy. As some will read, the Western Medicine way of dealing with Psoriasis is to take steroids - you can be absolutely sure that I won't take steroids!!!!
For those that don't know - steroids lower the immune system - just what the Lyme bacteria and others are hoping for! Then they can just go all willy-nilly all over our bodies doing whatever they please. So no steroids unless it's truly a life or death situation - ever!!
At this point in time with the research that has been done it is believed that Lyme can NOT be
cured. It can only be put into remission and that person can be healed of their symptoms. There are many studies that have been done that prove that Lyme bacteria stay alive in the brain for decades -even if there are no symptoms. There is some controversy as to whether or not those bacteria can suddenly start reproducing again, but not much. Most studies show that they can and do. As long as we keep ourselves healthy, strong, and with very little stress in our lives will we remain healthy (that's if we don't get re-infected by a bug bite). So it's more than worth the fight to get healthy once again!! Ask someone who has healed! I have and would do it all again.
LOL!!! Did you really think you could ever really get rid of me????
Giggle!!!
