Hello all. I am newly diagnosed with chronic Lyme. Results:I was just diagnosed positive (through Igenix). IFA b burdorferi - 40. (Equivocal). IGM result positive (4 bands), CD57nk cells 42(borderline), cd57 nk % lympho 1.84, (low), HME monocytic e chaffeensis IGG 80 positive, bartonella henselae IGG 80 positive.
I have numerous symptoms of chronic Lyme, but the most concerning one right now is extreme wasting. It started about 2 years ago in my face. I lost all of the subcutaneous fat under my eyes, in my cheeks etc. had no idea at this time what it was. then, it started on my arms, slowly. Now it is speeding up. My forearms have lost all subcutaneous fat, and so have my hands - I am now loosing pads on my hands. My skin in these areas is very thin and you can clearly see all of my veins. It is also translucent. Has anyone experienced this? I also go through stages where my hands will get very cold, turn white and then a mild purple (sounds like reynauds).

Does anyone have these symptoms? Has it resolved with treatment?

Where do I look for a LLMD? I am in Canada, but willing to travel anywhere to get better. I am considering the IV treatment. I am also celiac (just diagnosed last year), and I think to do oral antibiotics is going to hurt my digestive system that I am working very hard to heal.

Any advice so very appreciated. I am terrified. Thank you. God Bless.

First of all, be sure you are eating as many healthy calories as you can - nuts, nut butters, use olive oil as much as you can, avocados, quinoa and more.

You need to get into treatment for your tick-borne infections and soon. I too would suggest that you go with a more gentle way of treatment as it sounds like you are in a delicate position right now.

You can either contact an alternative doctor in your area and speak with them about seeing them for tick-borne disease treatments, or just see which one will help you get through using one of the natural treatments that you will have already picked out.

To get you started so that you can check some out (if you haven't yet) here are a few, but definitely not all, the natural protocols out there:

Buhner's protocol is one that is used by quite a few members here (and other forums too)

You could choose to use the one that I used (see below), the Chronic Tonic for Lyme.

You could use Cowden's protocol.

the Marshall protocol if your vitamin D levels are high.

Homeopathic doc's treat with their own protocols, but there are many patients using them to heal from these diseases as well.

Thank you for your reply's. I am eating A tonne of calories. I am not loosing weight, just body fat and im not sure - perhaps muscle on my arms and hands. no where else. I have actually gained weight in my lower body, thighs, stomach etc. I used to be in excellent physical condition.

I am researching places to go. I am in Canada. We don't have much here. My diet is already clean, - we have been SCD for a year (very close to paleo) and strictly organic, grass fed, gluten free, no soy, no GMOs no candy, sweets, dies - etc. Nothing in a package at all. I have eaten that way for a year and a half.

I am trying to find a place, any thoughts on the Sponagle centre? I am worried I am going to keep loosing ability. I am loosing all sensitivity on my arms - I can pinch them and don't feel it at all.

Need help on where to go.....

I live in Calgary, Alberta - western Canada. I am willing to go anywhere for treatment - kinda desparate right now. Mom of 2 very young boys.  I can email you from gmail?
