Hi Yellow daisy,
There are quite a few options when it comes to breaking down biofilms. I am familiar with a few but there are others that hopefully will chime in here. Antibiotics wise - flagyl is supposed to be the king of breaking down biofilms. - That being said I never noticed a difference on it.
For me wobenzyme worked very very well for breaking down biofilms - and man I felt it. That nice "hit by a truck feeling." There are also protease enzymes that work, nattokinase, serrapeptase and I believe a few others.
I was looking into essential oils as well for this but I can't remember which one was effective at this point.
