Cant stop shaking!

Hello everyone,

I can't stop shaking. My hands and arms feel like I have Parkinsons and my core feels shaky as well. I

take vitamin D and take Epsom salt baths with hydrogen peroxide every other day. I have lyme

(blood test confirmed) and bart (negative blood test but LLMD believes so). Is there anything I can

do? Is this common? I am on ceftin, rifampin, and pulse flaygl.

Did you ever shake before your treatment began or did this just now appear during your treatment?

I ask because my shaking started long before my treatment and was likely related to a neurological form of Lyme/coinfections that I had and a long list of vitamin deficiencies. My shaking was not uncontrollable, but it did require me to actively concentrate on things to keep me from shaking.

For me, this resolved itself in about 4-6 months of strong ABX treatment, but it was the very last thing to clear up. I also believe my detoxing and B12/magnesium shots helped a lot too. B12 specifically is known to help treat this shaking and neuro Lyme issues.

The shaking started well before my abx. I am only 5 weeks into my treatment and it is a tiny but better but enough for me to notice everyday. I am also on NT Detox.

Yeah, sounds like you might have the same version of Lyme+friends that I and many have.

If you havent already, you might also want to get checked for Bartonella. I read somewhere that in Lyme cases that involve heavy neurological problems (like shaking, but also with mood issues and concentration problems), Bart needs to be suspect. Ive got both Lyme+Bart, which is fairly common.

I shake at night. Usually soon after taking my abx. It can be kinda scary...

Hi Tbrown,

I see you are 'relatively' new to treatment. Starting all of those antibiotics at once can be giving you quite the herx reaction. Are you detoxing and are things 'moving' at least once a day?

We want to make sure you are getting all the toxins out that you can! If you have more neurological lyme and a lot of bacteria is being killed right now - in your nervous system, it can really affect your nerves. No fun. :(.

I would just recommend detoxing as much as possible, magnesium perhaps but my guess is you are already on that and maybe look up 'nervine calming herbs' on google. Your poor nervous system! It will recover though!

Yes mate, I've got that shaking too. Very disconcerting, and the mind starts to wander to Parkinson's etc

A couple of things I've noticed:

1. I think Magnesium helps
2. Thyme oil helps
3. Laughing helps...seems to disappate energy
4. Staying calm helps....sometimes I just relax into the shakes and let them do their stuff.....resisting them doesn't seem to help.

I shake also , and have seizures.

I found that gabba powder helps, you can buy it at a vitamin store.


Hope it helps you a well, it hasn't stopped mine, but slows them down when they come on.

It may be a herx or a side effect from one of the meds. Try to dose down a little on the rifampin and see if it helps. I have heard of this effect from that medication. You want to consult your doctors office asap to report this.
