Thanks everyone for your input. I also believe that all water does get tested by law no matter where it comes from.

Anyway, I'm on a budget so I can not afford the water purifiers listed above. So I have been doing some research (as usual)..

At the moment I can buy another Brita Water Filter or buy PUR as that's what I can afford right now. I wonder what would happen if I bought activated charcoal and opened up the capsules to my water? Bad idea? Duh!!
