Hope & Healing

Hello All,

I have not posted on here in quite a while. I got a little burnt out there on living and breathing my illness. However, I thought I would stop by to report that after a year of treatment (I started in December 2012, after having symptoms since 2010) I am finally starting to feel as if I am healed!

I have felt amazingly good health for the past couple of months, and I can't express what a gift and blessing it is!

I have had many rough patches, and I'm not done yet (still taking abx and MANY supplements), but I feel very hopeful now. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, and I needed to share this. I remember visiting this board in my darkest days, desperate and searching for answers, feeling hopeless and alone. I wanted to know that it was possible to heal and recover from this.

So, while I am not yet totally finished with treatment, my doc says that if I continue symptom-free for another 1-2 months, she's going to transition me to the Cowden protocol for 6-12 months to support my immune system and prevent a relapse. My doctor uses a very dynamic approach! I don't mind the treatment when I'm feeling this good.

I didn't think I'd ever feel "normal" again, but I am starting to now and it's amazing. I feel like I have rejoined life again!

So, I know that someone needs to hear this story and I'll be back to give an update as things progress. Good luck to all in the new year, and sincere wishes for health and healing for us all!!

Thank you so much for the posting. After 21 months of treatment with an LLMD, I find myself once again in a place in which I need to hear words of encouragement.
