Good afternoon,

I have a quick question. Can a level of high prolactin cause any of the igenex bands to test positive? e.g kda 41?

This might be a stupid question and they have nothing to do with each other.

The blood tests for Lyme are usually either looking for antibodies or DNA of the bacteria, so as far as I know, high prolactin levels won't alter either one of those - no matter what band.

Band 41 is actually showing that the tail of a specific bacteria type - called spirochetes (Lyme, Syphilis, and a couple of other infections) - has been attacked by the immune system, so it's producing markers for that specific part of the bacteria.

Have I muddied the waters well enough now? LOL! I do hope that it actually helped some!

I was just curious as I am being tested for prolactin levels due to some other issues. I know that band 41 was high on my lyme test and I just wondered as I see lots of people asking about that one alot :-)

I am going to post some news tonight about my leg pain which might help others :-)

It is amazing how so many illnesses have exactly the same symptoms.
