IDSA 'new' Guidelines for treating Lyme patients

For those who have not had a reason lately to get angry over the IDSA and their self centered panel of quacks here is the 'new' guidelines (which look a lot like the old guidelines) for doctors who treat patients with Lyme. BTW these so called 'new' guidelines were a result of litigation against IDSA and their Lyme guidelines. In spite of opposing evidence to their treatment approach they decided not to change their position for the most part.

Ugh. My infectious disease doctor was an extremely dismissive person, as was my neurologist.

Yes it is. But it is the guidelines, it lists the doctors in case anyone encounters a person who tells a patient they follow one theses doctors. It also serves as historical document for reference.

Yes, but after the litigation, the panel who reviewed their guidelines was all composed of doctors who are "nonbelievers."

Actually all those doctors listed in the NIH article are IDSA panel doctors and thus had a bias going into the review...so in that respect they are definitely 'non-believers' and they were non believers when they first wrote the guidelines. I think it is criminal the same organiztions doctors are the ones that review their own guidelines.....and we are to believe they would have come to a different conclusion. Look what the NFL has done to their players over the years with mounting evidence contray to their conclusions...their answer.....keep kicing the problem down they road, throw money at doctors they know are going to support their desired conclusions ang tell the public and families they are seriously working on the issue. Medical and corporate politics.....criminal.

Lol right on Roxie like they are going to say " dang we screwed up big time, sorry you were all robbed of your lives and gave birth to infected children so this could be their inheritance" " oh and by the way we are sorry we have allowed contaminated blood to be given to recipients"..... Ah not happening. Can we say conflict of interest. Drs hate being wrong, more than most.

They can generally lack humility. I would think being a Dr required being humble since their is so much not known about human body.

IMO today's dr's are mostly in for the money, although now that we have obummercare things might change in that respect.
