New symptom

In the last few weeks I have been getting pains in my sternum, but not like chest pain. So as a reflex I would stretch and try to see if it helps and then it cracks!! It's sooo nasty and it hurts like heck! It happens almost once a day and I dread it! I have my fair share of joints cracking and crunching but geez I never considered the sternum a joint?! So over all this Lyme crap...

Margaret...yes I'm sure that's what it is...just with the cracking ugh!! My 12 yo has it as well but no cracking...thank God!!

Costochondritis is a severe pain in the chest wall which feels like a heart attack. For me the doxycycline takes it away immediately. It was one of my most severe symptoms with Lyme and it is quite scary as well. If you have antibiotics try taking one when you have an attack.
I remember getting jolted out of bed one night in the middle of the night with this stabbing pain.

No I haven't. Unfortunately, an active workman's comp case prevents me from using chiropractic. Believe me, I wish I could as I'm sure it would help me with all my aches and pains.
