I've heard that general anesthesia can cause brain problems for anyone. My cousin was off for quite a while after having a colonoscopy, for several weeks.
My daughter had to have her appendix removed several years before we knew she had Lyme disease and I wonder if it impacted her infection. She doesn't think she felt worse. I was sure scared when they went through the doors with her on the way to surgery. I had sent my hubby to take my mom to our house to watch our younger daughter and to keep my mom from worrying too much, so I was alone in the waiting room, with nobody in that whole area and they had the lights dimmed. It was so quiet and still. I was glad when My hubby returned. Not knowing what she had made me wonder if she'd make it through surgery, but when they brought her out, she was bright eyed and happy, saying she felt great, no pain any where! That was from the pain killer they gave her. She was quite talkative. Fortunately, she's a smart kid and declined the pain med prescription and I used homeopathy to help reduce the pain and to help the healing process. Sorry for my long winded thoughts! I didn't sleep nearly enough last night, so I ramble on.
