I got this today. I know I'm probably the only one on here who has experienced the healing power of homeopathy, but just in case anyone in CT would like to see the ancient law changed so they would have the opportunity to use a well trained homeopath, I decided to post it.
This communication is being sent on behalf of Homeopathy for CT.
Connecticut has a law in place from 1893 that restricts the practice of homeopathy to medical doctors. (There are currently only 8 registered in the state.) A group called Homeopathy for CT is now working on a bill to expand the practice of homeopathy to include nationally certified classical homeopaths (those who have achieved the Certified Classical Homeopath CCH designation).
After 4 years of working on this effort, House Bill 5327 (An Act Concerning the Provision of Services by Classical Homeopaths) has been raised and passed out of committee. The bill is now going to the House.
If you live in Connecticut OR know anyone who lives there, Homeopathy for CT asks that you PLEASE ask them to contact their legislators letting them know they support Bill 5327. And if the legislator would like to co-sponsor the bill, even better!
Here’s where CT folks can find their legislators: http://cga.ct.gov/asp/menu/cgafindleg.asp.
A short email or a quick call is all that is needed. Make sure to include the Bill Number 5327 in anything sent to a legislator.
Here are some possible talking points for CT residents:
Let them know that it is important for you to have access to well-trained homeopaths in Connecticut.
Explain what homeopathy means to you. How has it helped you, your family or friends?
The importance of choice. Why do you want the choice to seek homeopathy for you and your loved ones?
Homeopathy is a safe, affordable and gentle modality of health care. Describe how homeopathy has helped you or your family.
There is an increasing demand for more natural healthcare. Describe why homeopathy is important to you.
Access to homeopaths is limited in CT. There is an antiquated law from 1893 that says only medically trained people can practice homeopathy in CT, of which there are a very few. With so few homeopaths in CT, people either never hear about this option or must travel to another state to find a homeopath. Describe why this is an issue for you.
What we are proposing is to keep the bar high by allowing nationally board certified classical homeopaths (CCHs) to be able to offer their services in CT. The CCH is the highest level of achievement for a professional homeopathy and the credential is recognized worldwide. Explain how working with a trained, board certified homeopath would benefit and inspire confidence for you and your family.
Thank you for your help in getting the word out to CT residents!
