thanks! i appreciate your feedback! it would be great to have a dr that i could feel confident with, but so far, that hasn't happened. and i've just spent so much money on medical treatment AND supplements, AND naturopaths, and i just can't do it anymore. i've pretty much depleted all the financial resources i had, and i don't really think that ANY of it really positively affected my health, so i feel like i don't really have a choice at this time except to do the best i can on my own and with the rsch i'm doing. i appreciate the suggestion for buhner or cowden--i ordered the buhner book from my local library, so i'll probably start with that. also, after all the rsch i've done, i came across a note i made at some time--i think it came from a book i read online, and the note said "heal the gut first." i just got this feeling that i was being guided by that. so, that's what i'm focusing on right now. cutting down on the caffeine (TOTAL ADDICT!), using "GI Revive," plan to pick up some fermented foods, and eating LOTS of organic vegs. taking walks early a.m. to get sun/exercise--i'm up to 20 min, which is HUGE, considering i could barely do 5 min a few months ago. Maybe if i can get to a point where i can at least work part-time, i might have some extra $ to start seeing a dr again, but i've seen, i think, 12 just in the last 2 yrs, and spent 1000's of dollars, and none of that really helped.

I second Traveler's opinion that you have to have confidence in your healer.
And while it is true that the immune system does need support to get over Lyme and other tick-borne infections, the actual bacteria needs to be killed to make a full recovery. You can do an herbal protocol at home, Buhner or Cowden, but I would strongly advise you to have a practitioner overseeing your treatment. It is very hard to keep your wits about you as you go through treatment!
Sounds like you are on the right track, though.
