Babesia treatment

I think I am going to take the meds for Babesia.

I didn't want to but I feel like the herbals aren't strong enough. I really want to knock this thing down.

I am a little scared. Does anyone know if I can start off with half a pill of malarone a day and then increase? Just so I don't herx really bad because I really have to work, cannot afford to miss a day.

I started Malarone over two weeks ago I took one pill for 3 days after that I introduced the afternoon dose. I did herx but not bad I experienced dizziness, headache and shortness of breath. I was on Mepron before for a month and I did herx really bad for 5 days I had fever, dizzines, cough, congestion and pain.

I am treating the lyme with herbs and I also have shortness of breath. I am not having a good day today because I increased the dose.

I've only ever taken doxy for 4 months and then Zith and Ceftin for 2. The Ceftin really messed up my stomach so I took myself off it of and have been doing herbals for about a month and a half.

I guess with the Babesia herx I am expecting trouble breathing since I have air hunger already, increased dizziness and maybe some heart problems?

I never herxed really bad with Lyme meds. My herx just sort of feels like I worked out really hard the previous day.. it usually lasts only about a day or so for me.

TheWryter, I am going to switch my herbs from cryptolepis to Artemesia Annua (sp?). Mostly because the entire bottle of cryptolepis spilled in my purse because when I received it in the mail, the top was all messed up and it likes to fall off.

Maybe I will see how I feel on the Artmesia Annua before I start the actual meds. I would like to stay herbal but I don't know.

I just don't want to feel bad for my cruise which is in 20 days today.

On a side note, I just got back from my naturopath who does bio energetic testing on me. He claims my Babesia and Lyme are completely gone and that what I'm experiencing is damage left behind. I'm like...hmmmm I don't think so. Damage left behind would cause me to have drenching night sweats? Ughhh

Thanks for the warning. I always start slow with meds/herbals, I am way too scared to have a huge herx. I started with 2 drops of the cryptolepis and increased by 2 drops every day. I am at the max dose of 40 drops now. I never really herxed on it except my TMJ pain got worse for a few days and now it's back to being it's normal, painful self.

I don't know if the TMJ is related to the Babesia, I always had a feeling it was because it never changed in intensity or lessened at all with Lyme abx.

I never had anxiety either. But when I gave myself anxiety like worrying about my lymph node, it spins quickly out of control which never happened so I'm assuming the Babesia made it worse.

When I started an herbal my naturopath gave me for Babesia, the anxiety hit. I never felt it like that before. It was all day 24/7 like my stomach was quivering with anxiety. Thankfully, even though my Babs symptoms didn't go away after that herb kit, my anxiety did. I rarely get it anymore, except when, as I said above, I start getting nervous about something and then it's all downhill.

I get the head pressure/aches too. Those are the worst, I usually just want to go home and lay in bed.

I know we will all get through this. I ask God every day though why this had to happen. I guess there's a reason behind it.

After reading this post, I'm wondering if I also have Babesia. I have Lyme and recently tested positive for Bartonella. I have drenching night sweats, air hunger, anxiety and the list goes on. Can just Lyme with Bartonella cause all those symptoms?

I actually have that Liposomal Artemisinin sitting in my purse tempting me to take it. I'm just SO scared. I've had some heart problems with Babs as well as severe air hunger and I'm just so nervous my heart is going to get worse and I won't be able to breathe once I start treating it.

Inspired, yes those all sound like Babesia symptoms. My LLMD told me Bartonella could cause night sweats but not with air hunger. He also said bart could cause heart problems but again, you wouldn't have the air hunger.

I AM taking the herbals instead of meds right now. I might switch to actual abx for it but right now, I am treating it with herbals since I am going on 2 vacations within the next month and I don't want to be severely sick with a herx.

I bought natural stress relief pills from a natural/holistic store I work next to. When I get anxiety, I take a few of them and it really helps!

The stress mints are from Historical Remedies. Like I said, I just bought them from the holistic store next door. I asked for something for anxiety and the woman said that a lot of customers had good success with them.

I am scheduled for one in Dec and I'm already anxious cause I currently have severe vertigo...I told my LLMD I must be well by then and he is pushing for IV!
