Thanks to Lyme disease I now weigh over 220lbs, to treat my sickness I am using the Cowden protocol in exactly the same dosages as a patient would who is half my weight. Would it be dangerous if us larger folks significantly increased our doses (abx or herbs) to make allowances for our sizes?

Maybe it would be best for you to contact those that developed the Cowden protocol??

Thanks Traveler, I will pass on what they say. I have always wondered why people aren't prescribed doses based on their size rather than their age. The only exception I can think of is anaesthetic.

Yes, please let us know Lymelymie, I'm curious about
their response.
Just a remark: I see that many patients can not use the full dosages of several herbs like Samento or Banderol, cause it is too strong, causing herxes that are too intense, causing too much inflammation. Like me, my weight has gone up to 209 lbs (I hope I converted well, I weigh 95kg), and I can only tolerate 8drops of samento and 12 drops of Banderol per day. Now I have to split that in half because I have too much reaction.
But others do full dosages without problems.
